Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov Museum-Apartment
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908), contemporary of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, is among the greatest Russian composers. He also taught at the conservatory of Saint Petersburg.
This museum dedicated to him is located in the apartment where he lived from 1893 to his death. His life and work are told through many archive documents. Most of the collection comes from his widow Nadezhda.
Each year the direction organizes several concerts in which his compositions are played along with other classics of the Russian repertoire of the 19th and 20th century.
